Since 1993 KS.P has had one
full day every year called "art for all day".
It's a time where every class does art and crafts instead
of regular school work to show the artistic talent of the
children. Every year we do different things.
Here is a list
showing you some of the different things we have made :

In 1996/97, when we did Noahs
Ark, we made a big ark out of cardboard and cans and rubbish.
It had two of a lot of animals. In 1998/99, we made a big
scarecrow with plastic bags and wood.We also made Little
Bo Peep out of bottles. An artist came into every class.
In 1999/2000, Art for all day was
part of Art in my Backyard where different artists came
together from around Kilkenny. The idea was to give us a
chance to see all of the different artists that live locally
and the huge variety of art that they are interested in.
Artists included musicians, sculptors, painters, jewellery
artists and many more...
We also had an exhibition
in the school displaying some of the work of each of the
artists. Fourth Class designed headings for the display.
It looked very well.
