The School also plays Soccer during the year.  We took part in the National Ribena 5-a-side tournament in April and May 2006.  The girls won the Kilkenny City section and finished as runners-up in South Leinster.  5th Class boys and girls played the Model School in June 2006 in two games.  The boys drew 4-4 while the girls drew 0-0.  Hopefully, there will be a re-match in 2007.

The big Soccer match each year is Teachers vs 6th Class.  In 2006, the Teachers won, 2-1.
