Dias...Welcome
to our page on Spanish in our classroom.
We start
learning Spanish in 3rd class and continue until 6th. Our
teacher is called Soledad. Almost all of us love to learn
Spanish. It is our favourite co-curricular activity.
As well as being useful it is also fun. The government funds
the Spanish programme in the school. It is part of an
initiative to teach a European language in primary schools.
We think it is a very good idea and gives all of us a great
opportunity. We interviewed our teacher Soledad to find
out what her thoughts were about teaching Spanish in an
Irish classroom. Here is what she said..........
Do you enjoy teaching
here? Why?
I believe it gives
you the students a great opportunity and I enjoy being part
of that programme.
Do you think that
we will be good at Spanish when we leave 6th class?
Yes, because you are
interested in the subject you will be able to speak the
language when you go to Spain.
Why did you come
to Ireland?
I visited on holidays
once and found I loved the country so much that I wanted
to come back and stay!!
